Leap of Faith

Hey Melanie,
Any of you who communicate with me have heard tales of "Our Mama Duck" who, on Good Friday, laid eggs in a pot on our dock. We have watched and fed her for a month now, and sometime yesterday her eggs hatched.
This morning as we ate breakfast, Jay remarked that he was wondering how those ducks were gonna get from the pot, over the side of the dock, and into the water. As soon as he pulled out the driveway, I looked out to the lake, and was able to see a wonderful feat of nature. Mama duck was already in the water with two ducklings. She was just a-quacking up at the pot. I was able to get down there just in time to catch the leap of faith on one frame.

Thanks for putting together the Moss Lake News letter! Candy and I have lived on this wonderful lake for 31 years and continue to enjoy its beauty and many activities daily. Almost every morning about 6:45, one of the Moss Lake Blue Herons is sitting on our floating dock. This morning he was watching about 30 geese swim by with a beautiful sunrise in the background.
Thanks for capturing and sharing the fun and beauty of Moss Lake.
